News Round Up – 06/01/2014

Happy New Year to all Ribble Valley Juniors members, here we have the first round up of news for 2014.

Saturday Rides.

Saturday next 11/1/2014 normal ride from school. NOTE Saturday 18/1/2014 there will be no school based ride. Instead riders are invited to Rivington for a 10am start. Meet as previously on the Rivington Barn approach road (the road opposite Rivington Hall Barn café).

Palatine Coaching Message just rec’d from TOM LEIVERS:

‘Contrary to what was advertised before Christmas unfortunately there won’t be any coaches at the Cluster circuit session at Palatine tomorrow night. ( there is a Coaches forum meeting in Preston) The track is still available from 7 – 9 pm for training if anyone wants to still come. I know some of the older riders are coming anyway but if you could let any club members know that have been before or were think of attending. Sign on as usual in the cabin. Please note this is a training session NOT a coaching session with club volunteers present and run as a club activity on the circuit. All riders are reminded to ride within their own ability.Normal Service will be resumed on the 14th January.’

Attached below are the minor changes to the Constitution together with the original document and the proposed new document. Please take time to read through these items. It is hoped that any comments can be addressed at our next meeting so that the revised document can be formally approved at the AGM in late March 2014.

This is a mountain bike (although cyclocross bikes can be used) cross country event at Haigh Hall betwen Bolton and Wigan. At least 2 Ribble Valley Juniors members are currently signed up to take part in the adult race. There will also be some junior races that can be entered on the day, hopefully details for them will be available soon.
