Has everyone seen the details on the RVJ website?? We have agreed to provide coaches for the Guided Ride to Elswick (10 Miles each way but flat). As Lewis was a former RVJ rider we are hoping for a good show of riders – ideally a club group in the Men and Boys event?
First Aid Qualifications
Coaches and Volunteers-please advise if your First Aid qualification is running close to renewal- say in the next 6 months so that we can assess the need for a course. Is your first aid kit in a good state-if not please contact any club official.
Is doing the Manchester to Blackpool night ride on Sat 28/09. Anyone wanting to join him-contact Andy.
Also Andy has a colleague wanting to sell shoes and cleats suit a small footed female:
‘Size 3 women’s cycling shoes with cleats and pedals. Used only once and then put back in box. The shoes are Shimano WR31 which I bought from Wiggle in May this year. I was looking at £55.00 for the lot!’
Next RVJ Meeting
Monday 7th October at 7.30pm at Bamber Bridge Catholic Club.
The first round of the NWCCA league saw two entries for Ribble Valley Juniors in the U12 group at a very wet Leverhulme park in Bolton. The next rounds are on 6th October at Heaton Park, Manchester and 13th October at Waddow Hall, Clitheroe.
Youth, U8, U10 and U12 don’t need to register for the league and for the younger three age groups it is just a £1 to enter the race. You don’t need a cyclocross bike to have a go, you can ride a MTB.
Rapha Supercross series, there are two fairly local dates for this series which could be worth a visit even if just to spectate. 19th October at Skipton and 20th October at Manchester.
Well done to all of the club’s riders who raced through the summer.
CDNW Race Series
Through the six rounds on closed circuits we had 15+ riders racing, spread across all age categories.
We also had 8+ riders at the Thursday evening races at UCLAN Preston Arena.
If you’ve been racing, perhaps further afield, then please let us know by emailing a few words and a couple of pictures to email@example.com
