Whether it’s at work, at school or at home, the money raised for Red Nose Day is spent by Comic Relief to transform the lives of millions of people, both at home in the UK and across Africa.
Monday evening 16/3/2015 Ribble Valley CRC known to us as the ‘senior club’ are holding a presentation at Bamber Bridge Catholic Club from 6.30 to 7.30pm for Ribble Valley Juniors members, young and old.
Early start/finish time specifically to include young members.Promised cake and refreshments!

Agenda as follows:
6.30pm – General Introductions for the benefit of both clubs – a bit of background as to what we have been discussing over the last couple of months plus information about the ride on the 29th March.
6.40pm – Time Trial presentation – we currently have a couple of members who will be providing this, with information included about the NLTTA and PETT series etc.
6.50pm – Road Racing – our chairman Roy Pearson will be giving a talk on all aspects of racing and how to get involved, possible training rides etc.
7.00pm – Mountain Biking and Bike Maintenance – Dave Kershaw has agreed to do a presentation on Mountain Biking and will also look at getting some feedback regarding the interest in his bike maintenance workshops.
7.10pm – Still to be confirmed but hoping to get Charlotte Tompkins down to do a short presentation – possibly regarding cycling in Preston and the role of the sports forum.
7.20pm – Question and Answer session followed by sandwiches and cakes!
Saturday 21/3/2015 AGM and proposed SRBC Family ride.
ALL WELCOME: attend, make your views known and choose/elect club officials.
Details, and an opportunity to book, our proposed weekend at Dufton YHA will be announced.
The Family ride is to tie in with a South Ribble BC enhanced cycling programme at schools and is part of a series of such initiatives (includes ‘Tots’ Go Ride playground sessions). If successful these events will increase our membership and give some focus to the South Ribble scheme where Balance Bikes and Bike riding are being introduced to reception aged children throughout the Borough.
28/3/2015. Saturday ride and ‘Tots’ Go Ride session in playground. Coaches/ Volunteers welcome.
29/3/2015. First of a proposed RVCRC/RVJ joint series of moderate length/speed road rides for established RVJ young riders and parent/guardians. Details to be provided in RVRCC presentation on 16/3/2015.
4/4/2015 Chorley Grand Prix. No Saturday Club Ride this day. Details of proposed Go Ride events and races currently being discussed with Chorley BC and British Cycling.
18/4/2015 First Aid course -still 1 place available. Coach priority but any other parent/volunteer welcome.
